HarbourArts Show and Sale

Welcome from Rick Riley, President of the Rotary Club of Cobourg

2018-2019 Rotary Club of Cobourg President, Rick RileyEach year, Rotary International and Rotary Clubs around the world adopt a theme. The 2018-2019 is Be the Inspiration.

The Rotary Club of Cobourg has a proud 98 year history of making a difference, both locally and internationally. This is due in part to the success of the Rotary HarbourArts Show at the Cobourg Waterfront Festival and the loyal vendors and supporters of the Festival along with the collaboration of the Town of Cobourg and the Cobourg Lions Club.

Since the onset of the "End Polio" campaign in 1985, our Club has been a leading financial contributor toward the goal of eradicating polio worldwide.

Rotary HarbourArts ShowRotary HarbourArts Show

Each year the Rotary HarbourArts Show grows and grows. This year rain or shine, assembled under four huge colourful marquee tents, situated along the north wall of Cobourg's Heritage Harbour, will be the largest display yet of juried, high quality arts and crafts.

Each November the Rotary HarbourArts Show invites interested artisans to apply for exhibit space in the show and requires each applicant to submit photographs of their work to be juried.

The jury committee looks for originality and quality of workmanship and requires the item being submitted to be unique to the crafter. Mass produced or manufactured goods, items made from kits, and commercial goods are not accepted for exhibit and sale. This is done in an effort to ensure that the reputation of the Rotary HarbourArts Show is maintained, and that the show attracts artisans whose work is unique and of high quality.

The HarbourArts Show includes painters, sculptors, weavers, custom jewellery designers, potters, ceramists, woodcarvers, photographers, metal and stained glass artists, clothing designers and folk artists. They represent the best in their medium, and have met the high standards set out for participation in the Rotary HarbourArts Show. We invite you to spend a relaxing day visiting the craft exhibits and perhaps discover the perfect piece to complete your home, your wardrobe, or your gift shopping list. We are proud of our artisans and crafters and know you will enjoy your visit with us.
