HAPPY CANADA DAY
The Lions Club of Cobourg is happy once again to bring to its citizens and visitors from all over Ontario as well as other parts of the World, its version of “A Canada Day Celebration”.
This will be our 21st Annual Lions Art Show and Sale. I, myself, as a member of the Lions Family have been involved with the Art Show and Sale since it was started.
We also have a huge marketplace lined up again, with both local and distant Vendors displaying their wares and/or services.
We are excited this year to be conducting the draw for a 1955 Thunderbird. This Car was generously donated in Honor of one of our Charter Members “Cy Murphy” by his son Bernard.
Cy would be please to see the proceeds of this fund raiser going to many worthwhile Agencies, such as Leader Dogs for the Blind, Diabetes Association, Cancer research, Heart and Stroke Foundation, local kids hockey, soccer, baseball etc., The Army Cadet Corps., Sight and Hearing, Vision Screening, Northumberland Hills Hospital and many more charities, to numerous to list.
Be sure to come and visit the Band shell to enjoy endless entertainment and stop by The Lions Refreshment Tent for a break.
Lions Clubs Motto is “We Serve” and our club has been doing so for 61 years in Cobourg. It is a pleasure and at the same time a challenge to have served as President this term.
