War of 1812 Reenactment

On Saturday, July 2nd, local reenacting units and the reenacting club of CDCI West High School will present a window on the War of 1812. All participants will be dressed in period costume and presenting accurate displays of weapons, clothing, etc.

Schedule for July 2nd

10:00-11:00 and 1:00-2:00 Display of 1812 costume, weapons, and other artifacts.

10:30-10:45 Dr. Munday's medicine show – 1812 surgery and medicine reenactment

11:00-12:00 (approx.) Skyhawks parachute drop.

12:00-1:00 (approx.) 1812 Battle Reenactment: After the Skyhawks' jump is completed, we will use their drop zone for an 1812 battlefield. The participating units will be introduced – IMUC (redcoats), Northumberland Militia, Native warriors, 49th British, and Royal Artillery versus the Kentucky Rifle Regiment, 6th US Regulars, and 21st US Regulars.

1:00-1:30 Dr. Munday's medicine show –1812 surgery and medicine reenactment

1:30-2:00 Fashion display and commentary presented by costumed reenactors.

2:00 Reenactment finished.
